Ice surfaces

In order for hockey to be played on ice without cracking, the ice must be around 3 to 4 inches of solid ice. You might think one or two might be fine but just to be sure. A good 3 or 4 inches is a must. The ice surfaces that professional hockey players play on is artificcially made so it is not like skating on a pond. It is made by carefully putting water down every day for about a month. this is done so slowly so that air bubbles dont form in the ice and so that it is perfect for the best players in the world to play on.
